Avegant History
Avegant formed as a company and launched its first product - an award-winning retinal display video headset - which set Kickstarter records.
Avegant solved an industry problem of displaying different focal planes in a manner comfortable for AR / VR users.

As the AR industry sought glasses-form factors for the consumer market, Avegant developed the smallest, lightest LCoS-based displays and architectures integrated with waveguides.
Avegant is optimizing its display technology to be lighter, more power-efficient, and more targeted to anticipated customer uses (for example, Spotlight technology)

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Edward Tang
Ed is the co-founder of Avegant and leads its strategic direction. Born in Texas and raised in Taipei, he has an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan, specializing in MEMS technology. Previously a faculty member there, he later pursued entrepreneurial ventures, creating innovations in the MEMS biotechnology industry, including surgical robots and drug delivery devices.
Chief Operating Officer
Annie Rogaski
With 20 years in litigation and IP, Annie joined Avegant as General Counsel, later becoming COO in 2018. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara and McGeorge School of Law, she co-founded a non-profit and a law firm. Recognized as a Top 50 Women Leader in Technology Law and a 2015 Woman of Influence, Annie is dedicated to gender equity and racial justice.
